55A wonderful spot! Yard is surprisingly large and my two big dogs sure enjoyed fetch, wrestling, and just sniffing around. If your dog barks at/reacts to people/dogs through fences this might not be the best place for you - but it was absolutely perfect for us and we all highly recommend it!Sergey K.

55Frank's paradise was awesome! We visited in the snow, and the dogs loved it. The yard was large for its proximity to the city, and was more than enough space for our pup to tire himself out.Sergey K.

55Love this yard! My dogs and I have been snowed in on Queen Anne Hill for the last week, and they needed a close place to run around. Yard is fully fenced and the house is on a quiet street. It’s big enough for them to run around and wrestle, but easy to keep an eye on them. Loved it and will def be going back!Sergey K.

55Awesome yard with really nice people. It's rare to find a yard this large in Seattle, and the two levels made it even more fun. Highly recommended!Sergey K.

55Bradley (~15 pounds) had a great time at this spot! It was a great size, and lot's of space for us to play fetch. Plenty of places to park. The multiple levels and variety of surfaces are a nice touch. I found no gaps where my little dog could slip through (they covered the holes they found with cinder blocks), I felt safe letting him off leash as I didn't think he would get out. The only con is that if you have a curious dog or a dog who likes to eat things, there are lots of things lying around, old containers, some kind of sprayer, etc. That kept me on my toes trying to keep him from messing with them (and thus was a little worried letting him roam).
Overall, a great spot and would definitely go back!!!!Sergey K.

55First time user and it couldn’t have been easier and more convenient.
The instructions were accurate. The only minor question was entering the wooden gate as it wasn’t clear to pull or push and we didn’t want to damage anything accidentally.
Once in, we had a fantastic time. Everything was enclosed. There were no other dogs or squirrels around. Yard was big enough for plenty of fetch and lots great spots to sniff.
We couldn’t be happier. Our pooch is as pooped and happy as can be. Excited to do it again.
ThanksSergey K.

55This is a huge yard for the city, fantastic for fetch and letting your dogs sniff around. My pups raced around the yard the whole time we were there trying to take in all the smells. They had a blast and left tired. There were a couple neighbor noises but for the most part it was very quiet. The fence is generally secure but Mike let me know that part of it blew down in the windstorm last night and they had made temporary repairs with plans for more. The fence at the back of the property is 3-4 feet high and has gaps with wire fencing to keep small dogs from getting out, but if your dog can jump they may be able to clear it. Mike is amazing, very friendly. He grew up with dogs and his girlfriend Maggie works at a local vet clinic.Sergey K.

55You can’t beat the location of this sniff spot, it’s hard to believe that this kind of yard even exists still in Ballard. It’s two blocks off market right in the downtown area. The yard is long and open, fantastic for a rigorous game of fetch. My pups also loved sniffing around the yard and taking in all the smells. The host gave me a heads up that there are a couple of holes that some dogs dug there and be aware that the gate takes some negotiation to open and close.Sergey K.

55Boomer loved this spot! It was large with lots of space to run around and sniff. The multiple levels made it more interesting for her to explore. The fencing is good and felt very safe for her around. The only thing was that there were some random stuff like old containers lying around, which curious dogs could find edible...
otherwise great spot!Sergey K.

55we had a great time playing here! there's enough space for the pups to run, varied surfaces for them to roll and sniff and the fencing all seemed secure and in a nice quiet neighborhood so we weren't bothered by other dogs walking by or in neighboring yards. The only thing to watch out for was there were a few misc kids' toys etc lying around so if your pup is inclined to chew/get into things, you might need to keep a close eye.Sergey K.

55First SniffSpot, best experience. Just six weeks ago, my rescue wouldn’t leave the closet. Though he has immensely improved, getting him out of the house is a very scary thing. After an anxious ride in the car, he did a complete 180 and was a whole different dog in this spacious yard! His tail was wagging like I’ve never seen before. Best experience, and I’m sure to visit again!Sergey K.

55Fiona LOVES this SniffSpot. Tons of space to run around and different areas (grass, gravel, concrete, wood chips) she couldn't stop smelling and exploring. Quick and easy communication on the human side as well :-)Sergey K.

55This sniff spot was easy to find and was a good size for my puppy. She enjoyed playing fetch and running laps around the fire pit. The Sniffspot has a hose and water bowl for your pups. I would definitely book this spot again, although it is on the higher cost end for other Sniffspots I have used. Thank you!Sergey K.

Frequently asked questions about Seattle dog parks
How many private dog parks are in Seattle?
Seattle has 219+ private Sniffspot locations ranging from cozy backyard spaces to expansive properties spanning 500+ acres. You'll find fully-fenced yards, agility courses, and even indoor dog park options, each offering complete privacy during your reserved time. Browse listings to compare sizes, amenities, fencing, and reviews from other Seattle dog owners.
Are there dog parks in Seattle for reactive dogs?
Yes! Seattle has 219+ private dog parks specifically designed for reactive, anxious, or dog-selective pets. Unlike public dog parks where unexpected encounters can trigger your reactive dog, Sniffspot offers completely private bookings. That means only you and your dogs will be there. We enforce 30-minute buffers between visits so you won't run into other park users when arriving or leaving. This makes Seattle Sniffspots perfect for reactive dogs who need safe off-leash exercise.
Are Seattle dog parks friendly for all dog types?
Absolutely! Seattle Sniffspot locations work for every type of dog: puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel safer away from large breeds, high-energy dogs requiring space to run, and yes, reactive or anxious dogs needing privacy. Because bookings are completely private, you can customize the experience to your dog's specific needs, whether that's careful puppy introductions or stress-free exercise for nervous Seattle dogs.
Will there be other dogs at Seattle dog parks?
No, that's what makes Sniffspot different from public dog parks! We only allow one booking at a time, and host dogs must be kept away during your visit. When you book a Seattle dog park, you have the entire space to yourself (plus any dog-owning friends you invite). This privacy is crucial for reactive dogs, puppies in training, or any dog who needs space from other animals.
What makes Seattle dog parks safe for anxious dogs?
Seattle Sniffspot locations provide controlled, predictable environments without the chaos of public dog parks. There are no aggressive dogs, no inattentive owners, and no unexpected encounters that could traumatize anxious or fearful dogs. All guests must have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars, with many highlighting how safe their reactive or anxious dogs felt.
Can puppies use Seattle dog parks?
Absolutely! Seattle dog parks are ideal for puppy socialization because they provide controlled, distraction-free environments. Puppies can practice recall, build confidence, and explore without the overwhelming chaos of public dog parks. Just ensure your puppy has age-appropriate vaccinations before visiting any Seattle Sniffspot.
Are Seattle dog parks good for small dogs?
Yes! Many Seattle Sniffspot hosts mark their spaces as "small dog friendly," meaning they're appropriately sized for toy breeds and small dogs. Unlike public dog parks where small dogs risk being overwhelmed or injured by larger breeds, Seattle private bookings give your small dog the entire space to themselves. Look for secure fencing with minimal gaps and hosts who understand petite pup needs.
What are the requirements for Seattle dog parks?
All dogs must have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. Each Seattle host may have additional requirements listed on their booking page. Most welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit traditional public dog parks.
