W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park Rules • W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park is open from dawn to dusk daily. • Leave the park as beautiful as you found it by not removing any plants, animals, rocks, geodes, artifacts, or other property from the park. • If you carry something into the park, carry it out when you leave. • All dogs must be on a leash and under the control of their owner. Pick up after your pets. • To keep W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park safe, clean, peaceful, and enjoyable for everyone (including the wildlife), the following items are prohibited in the park: o Alcoholic beverages o Amplified music, including loud radios o Outside grills or fires anywhere in the park o Fireworks o Drones or other motorized aircraft o Four-wheelers, ATVs, or other off-road vehicles o Mushroom hunting o Horses o Hunting • Stay on designated trails. This helps prevent erosion, damage to animal habitat, and possible contact with plants such as poison ivy, poison oak, stinging nettles, etc. • Vehicles must remain on designated roads and parking areas. • Bicycles are allowed on park trails, but bicyclists must yield to foot traffic. • No swimming, wading, or boating is permitted in any of the ponds. Stay off the ice in the winter. • Sledding is at your own risk.
