55Stopped by this spot on the way to LA with soba. This spot is beautiful! The yard itself is very green with trees and many birds singing. The host even told me that sometimes there are wild turkeys in the area (although I don’t think they are ever in the sniff spot itself). From some spots in the yard you can see the surrounding foothills which are breathtakingly gorgeous. The yard is much bigger than it looks since it wraps around the house. There is plenty of room for fetch made even better since there is a hill on one side of the yard. The grass was longer than usual since it had been so wet, this was great for soba for sniff and explore. The host also left out an amazing box of goodies for soba to enjoy, including a frisbee and some other chew toys. There were also two bowls of water. Very fun!David A.

55Very large, awesome backyard with lots of lawn! Was concerned at first about the pool because our dog has fallen into pools before. There’s a cover but it is not the kind you walk on. But our dog stayed away. Was a fun time!Sergey K.

Awesome Park-like Backyard in the Oakland Hills Hills with clear flat acre and paths to roam | Sniffspot
55We had a great time in this neat space! Our dog loved zooming around and hopping on the logs, and tossing around pine cones. The hosts were lovely and very understanding. It is muddy after rain but I think it adds to the fun for the pups, just be sure to wear practical shoes :)Sergey K.

55What a lovely place. My pup had the best time exploring and chasing the ball for an hour. It’s fully fenced and secure, so perfect for my reactive pup. Thank you for opening your yard to us!Sergey K.

Mixture of sun and trees, part-time horse paddock, part-time dog play area | Sniffspot
55Tauna's sniff spot was a great place for our dogs to run around. Tauna met us when we arrived to show us the space and where to park. She's super friendly and clearly an animal lover. There are horses and chickens around, but not in the space for the dogs. She kept her dogs inside while we were there because I told her ahead of time that one of ours can be reactive. The space was plenty big for our dogs to run after the chuck-it ball, and she provided water. As her description mentioned, there were muddy areas because of the recent storms, but this was not an issue.. I didn't wear white shoes :) This was our first Sniff Spot experience and it was great! We will definitely be back!Sergey K.

55Nice, large, grassy yard with plenty of room for a fun game of fetch or chase. Karen left two chairs and a fresh bowl of water out for us. My girl is fearful of new people & dogs so Karen made herself scarce so we could enjoy some private playtime. It was perfect! I would definitely recommend this for playtime, training or doggie playdates if your pup has a friend. There are dogs living at the properties on either side so if your dog is highly reactive or a fence fighter might not be a good fit. The fences are tall and block them visually. They barked a few times but didn't bother us.Sergey K.

55Had a great playtime with my dog Brooklyn. The place was a great secured peaceful setting . Plenty of trees for shade. The host Karen was great too! she provided chairs, fresh water, agility equipment. I like it much better then going to the dog parks where you never know if there will be dog fights or who knows what people left behind your dog could get into.Sergey K.

Can I use San Francisco dog parks for training?
Absolutely! San Francisco dog parks are excellent for training because they're private and distraction-free. Many San Francisco professional trainers use Sniffspot for client sessions.
Are San Francisco dog parks fenced?
Many San Francisco Sniffspots are fully fenced, but not all. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures if your dog doesn't have reliable recall. Listings show fencing details including height, gaps, and type so you can confirm it'll contain your escape artist. For reactive dogs who need visual barriers, look for solid fencing options.
