Animal regulation control is different for each area in the City. Permittee must comply with posted rules. Dogs ARE NOT permitted, whether leashed or unleashed, upon any public beach or any public park adjacent thereto, or any sidewalk adjacent to any public beach between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Legally licensed dogs are permitted with or without leashes at anytime on Fiesta Island in Mission Bay Park and Dog Beach (North Ocean Beach - beach area at the west end of the San Diego River Flood Control Channel) in accordance with the San Diego Municipal Code (SDMC). Cleaning up after the dog is required at all locations in accordance with SDMC. For more information, visit Your Dog and City Parks. Developed Regional Parks prohibits pony rides, petting zoos and livestock demonstrations in parks.
