“We have four friendly labs - ages 4 months to 9 years old. They would love to play with your pup if you are up for it! We also have 2 livestock guard dogs in the pastures with the herd. They have a job and will remain with the herd at all times - we ask that you refrain from approaching the pasture with the herd without being accompanied by farm staff.”

We would prefer that all livestock not be bothered by any visiting dogs - please ensure your pet is well behaved and responsive to your commands. We also have free-ranging ducks and understand natural instincts...the ducks are accustomed to fleeing from our labs.”

Description

We have a 5 acre property that we are preparing to be a goat farm and creamery. We bought the farm in disrepair and have been clearing it and building it. We currently have several fields, some with the goats, and some that are clear. We would love to have folks come out to let their dogs run and have some fun. The fields are mostly fenced, but a dog could probably find its way out if it wanted to.

This is a working farm - we can make some allowances for reducing risk, but ask that all visitors understand there may be large equipment in use or a variety of projects in progress. Additionally, the available pasture for dog play will change as we will rotate the herd between our various paddocks. Please always follow the requests of farm staff to ensure your safety. Also, please note that you are responsible for the health of your pet - this is a working farm and we are not responsible for any illness (ensure adequate vaccinations) or injury.

It is a fantastic area for a dog to explore. We keep the road locked, but we can unlock it for you when you come. If you have a four wheel drive vehicle you can drive into the land. Otherwise, we recommend parking at the road and hiking in. On the east side there is a fenced property that has a dog, but it is a securely fenced area. Let me know if you have any questions. The property is 5 acres with multiple pastures, some fully fenced and some partially fenced. The pastures are fenced securely, but a smaller dog may be able to find their way out of them. There are also free roaming chickens, so this would NOT be a good place for a pup with a strong prey drive. We have a 5 year old German Shepherd, Louis, who is very playful.
