Dormant Logging Land

Unfenced
40 acres

My family owns 40 acres of timber country on a mountainside outside Cinebar. We have owned this land for about 100 years and log it every 40 years. The rest of the time it just grows trees. We would love to have guests there. The land has a network of logging roads and paths for access. The land is on a hillside with overlooks and creeks and 100 foot high forest trees. It is a fantastic area for a dog to explore. We keep the road locked, but we can unlock it for you when you come. If you have a four wheel drive vehicle you can drive into the land. Otherwise, we recommend parking at the road and hiking in. On the east side there is a fenced property that has a dog, but it is a securely fenced area. Let me know if you have any questions. Have a blast!

Goat Bless You Family Farm

Partially Fenced
5 acres

We have a 5 acre property that we are preparing to be a goat farm and creamery. We bought the farm in disrepair and have been clearing it and building it. We currently have several fields, some with the goats, and some that are clear. We would love to have folks come out to let their dogs run and have some fun. The fields are mostly fenced, but a dog could probably find its way out if it wanted to.

55This Sniff Spot is sooo great! It was really uphill but a great place to hike trails off leash and we had no problems with other dogs, people, and other animals. Will definitely be visiting this gem again!!! If you book this you would probably want like half the day because a couple hours is not enough.

55We had a lot of fun here. Barb was really nice and she gave us a small map so we knew where we could explore. We went up the main trail and had a snack at the top. Then we went to where the conifers were and played hide & seek. After that we checked out some of the other trails. My dog drank from the creek every time we passed it. We saw lots of wildflowers, butterflies, a deer, and we listened to the birds. My dog’s nose never left the ground and now he is exausted. We ended up exiting from a different trail and walked down the main road to get back to our car. We booked for two hours but only stayed for about 1.5. We would have explored more but my dog was exhausted and it was getting hot out.

55"See Heather L's review - I agree with every word! This spot is beautiful!!! We met our host at her Christmas tree farm and followed her to the sniffsppot land (about 10 min drive into the mountains from her home). We parked at the entrance to the land off the main road. We kept pup on leash till we passed the neighbor's fence (no issues, we could not see/ hear anything). The logging land is at the edge of the national park, you are really on your own, and I had no worries letting our pup run free. The side trails loop into each other, off the main trail. The trails/ roads can be followed very easily, once we could not go further (or reached a heavy wooded area) we just turned around and found a new trail. Do bring sturdy shoes, there are rocks and some fallen branches. Our pup loved the creek and the upper meadow. Next time will bring picnic blanket. Overall well worth it, we spent about 2.5 hours there. "

55Barb's land is like having your own private mountain to hike on. Since it is private land you will be the only one on it. The app trees are huge and there are a network of paths to hike. I found a few view points with beautiful views. Soba had a great time exploring around and seeing a new place. The property is not fully fenced, but I had no concerns letting her run free and explore. Next time I come I am going to bring a picnic and a few friends and have a picnic while our dogs explore!

Frequently asked questions about Morton dog parks

What amenities do private dog parks in Morton offer that public parks don't?

Morton private dog parks offer amenities you'll never find at public facilities: swimming pools for water-loving dogs, agility equipment for training, climate-controlled indoor spaces for year-round use, hiking trails on private property, and secure fencing customized for different dog sizes. Hosts provide poop bags, water stations, toys, and even dog wash stations. Dormant Logging Land is especially known for exceptional amenities. Every Morton listing shows exactly what's included—no surprises.

Are there fully fenced private dog parks in Morton?

Yes! Most of Morton's 33 Sniffspot locations are fully fenced. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures with detailed fencing specs: height (4ft, 6ft, 8ft+), material (wood, chain-link, vinyl), and gap information. This is crucial for escape artists, puppies learning boundaries, or reactive dogs who need contained space. Morton listings show fencing photos so you can verify security before booking.

How clean are private dog parks in Morton compared to public ones?

Significantly cleaner. Public dog parks in Morton are maintained by overworked city staff and often littered with waste from dozens of dogs daily. Sniffspot hosts in Morton maintain their own spaces and take pride in cleanliness since it directly affects their reviews and bookings. Many Morton hosts provide fresh poop bags, empty trash regularly, and sanitize water stations. Plus, with only one booking at a time, waste accumulation is minimal. Check reviews to see cleanliness ratings.

What types of dog parks can I find in Morton?

Morton has 33 diverse options: small dog parks for specific training activities, fully fenced dog parks for different environments, and dog fields for varied experiences. Want a backyard for simple off-leash time? We've got it. Need acres of trails for hiking? Check. Looking for water access or agility obstacles? Available. Browse by park type to see what matches your dog's interests, then filter by location within Morton to find convenient options.

Can I book Morton dog parks on short notice?

Usually yes! Many Morton Sniffspot locations offer same-day or next-day availability, and most bookings can be made instantly without waiting for host approval. Unlike public dog parks that might be crowded during peak times, Morton private parks let you reserve exactly when you need them—early morning before work, midday breaks, or evening exercise. Check individual listings for real-time availability and booking policies.

Do Morton dog parks have water access?

Many do! Filter Morton's 33 locations by amenities to find dog parks with swimming pools, natural ponds, creeks, or beach access. Water features are perfect for Morton's hot summer days or for dogs who love to swim. Each listing specifies water type and depth, plus whether it's safe for swimming or just wading. Some Morton hosts provide life vests or shallow kiddie pools for water-nervous dogs.

Are there indoor dog parks in Morton?

Yes! Morton has climate-controlled indoor options perfect for extreme weather, rainy days, or year-round exercise. Indoor Morton locations typically feature rubberized flooring (easier on joints), artificial turf, or padded surfaces. They're especially popular for puppy training, senior dogs needing gentle surfaces, or reactive dogs benefiting from enclosed environments. Filter by "indoor" to see Morton's covered and climate-controlled options.

What's the best time to visit dog parks in Morton?

With Sniffspot, any time works since bookings are private! Unlike public dog parks that are crowded during peak hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends), you don't have to worry about timing in Morton. Book whenever fits your schedule—midday when public parks are empty, dawn for cool weather, or late evening for convenience. Many Morton locations have lighting for after-dark visits. The flexibility is one of the biggest advantages over public parks.
