Rescue a Golden of the Midwest is an incredible group of volunteers. Not only do they rescue goldens but they also support the other golden rescues in neighboring states. RAGOM was instrumental in the organization and development of Golden Retriever Rescue of WI almost 25 years ago. RAGOM volunteers provided classes on assessing, fostering, fundraising, and every aspect needed to get GRRoW.org up and running. There is a very close relationship between RAGOM and other golden rescues. They have saved so many breeders and pups from awful situations. RAGOM is just an amazing group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing goldens and golden mixes. Love them so much for all they have done for golden retrievers in the Midwest.

"Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest" (RAGOM) is a non-profit organization based in Minnesota, that specializes in the rescue, fostering, and adoption of Golden Retrievers and Golden Retriever mixes. The organization serves the Midwestern region of the United States, including Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and western Wisconsin. RAGOM works to rescue Golden Retrievers from shelters, commercial breeders, and owners who can no longer care for them. They provide necessary medical care, foster homes, and behavioral rehabilitation as needed before finding suitable forever homes through their adoption program. Founded in 1985, Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest has become one of the largest and most well-known Golden Retriever rescue organizations in the United States. Their mission is to rescue and rehome as many Golden Retrievers as possible while also educating the public about responsible pet ownership and the importance of adopting from shelters and rescue organizations.

"RAGOM has a reputation of being a great rescue, but it wasn't until I got to know them that I also realized how well they advocate for the dogs in their care. When dogs need extra support, like visitors when their fosters run errands or slow transitions into their permanent homes, RAGOM staff enthusiastically offer support based on the individual needs of the dogs and the people who care for them. Their attention to detail and their knowledge of the dogs in their care ensures that the dogs are well-prepared to transition into their permanent homes and that the families who care for them will be well-supported along the way. RAGOM is an amazing organization with so much heart. I enthusiastically support them and love referring prospective adopters to them."
